Listening to, at the moment:

Assassins
Steven Sondheim; A Bunch of Other People But Especially Victor Garber

Not to be too obsessed with the slightly-weird musicals, but...love!

Bang Bang
Dispatch

Ugly-ass album art, awesome album. I love this band so much; why the hell haven't more people heard of them? I've been listening to their Silent Steeples album constantly for a year or two now. I finally got Bang Bang, and it's just as good. Intelligent lyrics, guitars and singing and drums and shit, what's not to like?

Yeah, OK, so I don't know how to describe music. It's still a good album.

Illyria: A Musical Adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night
John Briggs and Eric Frampton; Patty Mack, Trent Blanton, Kathleen McManus

Dad and I went to the VSF's production of Illyria last week, and it was so fabulous I had to back and buy the soundtrack just to re-live the glory and support the whole effort. I prefer the VSF cast's voices to the those on the CD version, but it's still great stuff. I particularly love Viola's "There's Something Wrong" and Feste's "Lord Have Mercy," as well as the title track. I really wish I could see it again live, though -- as good as the CD is, and it is good, it's nothing compared to the live performance. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard, or was so pleasantly surprised by so many people's voices. *sigh* Good stuff.

Great Mass in C minor
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Te Kanawa, von Otter, Rolfe Johnson, R. Lloyd, Sir Neville Marriner

American Idiot
Green Day

Mis Mejores Canciones: 19 Super Exitos
Nat King Cole

In the Mood for Love
Film Soundtrack

Monty Python's Spamalot (2005 Original Broadway Cast)
Eric Idle, Hank Azaria, David Hyde Pierce, John Du Prez, Tim Curry, and Sara Ramirez

Well. I think I would love this even more if I'd been to see the show, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it anyway. I've had it for about 24 hours now, but have only listened to it in the car going to and from work, so I've gotten up to Track 13 ("Run Away"). I only expect the LOVE to increase.
